Abstract

In every project implementation, not everything is according to plan, many factors are causing project delays. This paper identifies the common factors contributing to project delays. The above problems occurred in the construction of the Submerged Turret Production Buoy structure which was carried out by PT. XYZ with height 28937 mm. In this study, an analysis of the factors causing project delay was carried out using a Fault Tree Analysis method. From the calculations obtained that the main factor contributing to project delay is a problematic client with a probability of 0.048812, the second factor is poor planning and management with a probability of 0.218186, the third factor is problematic contractors with a probability of 0.037472. The probability of project delay in the Submerged Turret Production Buoy structure is 0.304470. Knowing these factors will help to degrade the project delay in the future.
