Abstract

In recent years, the low-frequency oscillation phenomenon in the coupling system of electrified high-speed vehicles and traction power supply grid (hereinafter referred to as vehicle-grid system) occurs frequently, which causes traction blockade. Focusing on the problem of low-frequency oscillation in vehicle-grid coupling system, this paper applies small signal impedance model to analyze the stability of vehicle-grid coupling system. Based on the simulation platform of Matlab/Simulink, an integrated simulation model of HXD2B electric vehicle and traction power supply grid is established, which reproduces the phenomenon of low-frequency oscillation. In addition, a method to suppress low-frequency oscillation by adding Thyristor Controlled Series Compensator (TCSC) from grid side is proposed. TCSC and its control scheme simulation model are established based on Matlab/Simulink. It is shown from the simulation results that the effectiveness of the proposed suppression measures is verified.
