Abstract

This article is devoted to the process of reforming the textile industry of the RSFSR within the framework of one of the projects of the all-union textile syndicate. The emphasis is placed on the study of the issues of zoning of the cotton industry of the republic and the syndicate’s search for the most stable form of organisation of textile trusts against the background of the elimination of the so-called “New Economic Policy” in industry. The main structural associations and management bodies of the textile industry of the RSFSR and the USSR in those years are considered: from the union and republican textile trusts to the Supreme Economic Council of the USSR, and their role in the process of the first stage of industry reform is traced. To reveal the topic of the article, both materials of scientific publications and archival documents were used, a significant part of which is being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time.
