Abstract

The backward interpolation approximation scheme of first-order differential based on Lagrange interpolation method is derived in this paper. According to the idea of Lubich, the approximation formula of first-order differential can be extended to fractional differential. The high order numerical approximation scheme of Riemann-Liouville fractional differential is obtained and the two order backward difference (TBD) operator is constructed for dealing with the traffic images of bad weather conditions. Considering the specific center of TBD operator, the developed two order backward difference (DTBD) operator is proposed by improving TBD operator in order to achieve better texture enhancement effect. For color images, due to the correlations among each components in RGB space, color distortion may occur if the enhanced components are in the stack again. So the processing images should be converted from RGB space to HSV space and enhance the luminance component only. Select a set of fog-degraded traffic images to conduct experiments and compare with Tiansi operator and RL fractional differential operator. The experimental results show that our algorithms are more effective.
