Abstract
The article explores the conception of agricultural sociology in Poland. World-famous Polish scientist Florian Znanetsky (1882–1958) made an important contribution to the development of the study. The article focuses on the possibility of applying this concept in research of the transformation processes in Belarusian village within the framework of modernization theory.
