Abstract

The traditional African Family has always held on to certain values that are not just foundational and core, but also pillars that the family system, structures and values are held together and kept. However, modern agents such as globalization, modernization and their associated extensions seem to be gradually influencing vivid changes in the African family system, values and structures. This Paper explores the issues and opens an academic discourse and possibly, policy implementation for rapid redress.
