Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the currently emerging fields of contemporary life, especially of the domain of higher education where has a specific utilization. The paper goes through several analyzes of the current aspects of the AI application in higher education delivery. Firstly, are covered the expert and tutoring systems as an independent system or a combination with the with classical methodological approaches. The second aspect is recommender systems that support career guidance and student counseling in an automated way. The third aspect includes knowledge discovery from data, especially unstructured data such as social media content relevant to the business and reputation of HEI or web logs of visitors to an institutional website. The presented work concentrates on approaches, and positive examples illustrating the comparative advantages of intelligent technologies in the domain of higher education and emphasizes their large application potentials.
