Abstract

Abnormal placental attachment disorders are less common than abnormal placental position disorders, but they are a significant cause of mortality and morbidity. The diagnosis is usually made by an ultrasound examination, but for the equivocal cases, MRI increases the diagnostic certitude. The purpose of our study was to determine if conventional MRI combined with Diffusion Weighted Imaging and image post-processing techniques using Fusion of the images could improve the current MRI diagnosis protocol.
