Abstract

This study attempts to document three children’s early morphological development by: (1) investigating the development of the children’s verb morphology and person inflections of the paradigm; (2) use of inflections on nouns and their modifiers, and (3) use of gender inflection on nouns and their modifiers. A degree of grammatical development was noted in the children’s production of both “regular” and “irregular” verbs. This investigation also found incidences of morphological development in the children’s production of inflections of nouns and their modifiers as well as gender inflections on nouns and their modifiers.
