Abstract

A device commonly supplied by pharmacies for measuring paediatric oral liquid medicines was examined for accuracy in the hands of different operators and with liquid medicines of different characteristics. The device provided acceptable accuracy with water, but not with glycerol or paracetamol suspension. It may not be suitable for use with viscous liquids.
