The abuse of people with learning disabilities: What clinical psychology can do to prevent it happening again

Abstract

This paper presents the response of West Midlands Regional Advisory Committee for Applied Psychological Services to the abuse of people with learning disabilities, highlighted in a recent Panorama programme. The preventative role that clinical psychologists could play is discussed.
