Abstract

By Dean B. McLaughlin The similarity of the light-curves of Nova Herculis 1934 and Nova T Aurigae 1891 has been remarked by a number of students of variable stars. Both declined slowly for a few months and then faded rapidly to approximately their pre-nova brightness. The fading was followed, after a few months, by a very marked recovery of visual and photographic brightness. The light-curves of both stars are shown in Figure 1. 1935 Jan. 1 Apr. 1 July 1 Oct. 1
