Abstract
The distinctive features of sludge particles formed upon the grinding of tool materials on diamond wheels are presented. The element composition of the particles is presented and shown to be similar to the workpiece material composition or different from it in specific cases. The stie of sludge particle formation on the cutting surface of the wheel (bonding material or abrasive grains) was studied.
