Abstract

The significant Czech geographer and geomorphologist Jan Krejčí celebrates his 75 birthday the 20 May 1982. He worked from 1931 till 1972 (with exception during the World War II) as Professor at the University of Brno. His main works are devoted to the geomorphological investigation in Moravia (river terraces, young tectonics); he published many works also in hydrology, especially in applied hydrology. In this article the short biography and main fields of the activity of Professor Krejčí are presented.
