Abstract

In this paper, a 45°–45°–90° triangular shaped Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) is investigated using 3D EM simulator. Square shaped DRA is cut symmetrically to obtain the 45°–45°–90° Triangular DRA (TDRA). Fundamental mode (first resonance) is excited here. Input impedance (Z in ), and far-field power patterns are presented. It is found that the 45°–45°–90° TDRA produces a peak in the broadside direction at first resonance.
