Abstract

The 3D calculation of the magnetic fi eld around a model of a current carrying conductor and ferromagnetic plate has been performed by means of integral equations in the quasistatic case. There is good agreement between the calculated and measured results. The integral equation approach is very effective in a space in which a fi eld distant from the source is calculated and there are not many different types of ferromagnetic materials. The conductivity and permeability of the ferromagnetic materials are assumed to be constant. Furthermore, the influence of the ferromagnetic materials on the magnetic fi eld of a conductor is shown.
