Abstract
In this paper we mainly study sporadic groups in terms of p-local rank, especially the 2-local ranks of some sporadic groups (Conway simple group Co1, Janko simple group J4, Fisher simple groups, the Baby Monster đč and the Monster đ) will be given which complete the problem of determining the p-local ranks of all sporadic simple groups for all primes p.
