Abstract
The IEEE 2nd Ukrainian Microwave Week took place in an online format on November 14–18, 2022. I had the pleasure and honor of chairing this event, representing my two current affiliations V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kharkiv, Ukraine and Newcastle University, Newcastle, UK. The Ukrainian Microwave Week is organized to unite several international Microwave, Antennas, and Radar conferences, workshops, and symposia which are traditionally held in the Ukraine. As a result, in 2020, four IEEE conferences (IEEE International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW); IEEE International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT); IEEE International Symposium on Microwaves, Radar and Remote Sensing (MRRS); and IEEE International Conference on Ultrawideband and Ultrashort Impulse Signals (UWBUSIS)) were united into one common event: “IEEE Ukrainian Microwave Week.” In 2022, an additional IEEE conference, IEEE International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory (DIPED), also joined the Ukrainian Week.
