Abstract
The 2019 IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Workshop, "New Trends in Automation in Industrial Engineering and Networking for EU Projects," was held in in Helsinki, Finland, on 24 July. The workshop is the result of a collaboration between the Women in IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) initiative, Aalto University, Finland, and the Finnish Automation Foundation. I had the pleasure of chairing the event together with Prof. Sirkka-Liisa J?ms?-Jounela, Aalto University, Finland.
