Abstract
2018 ( 平成30 ) 年 9 月 6 日 3 時 7 分に北海道胆振地方中東部を震源にマグニチュード 6.7 を観測し，厚真町では北海道で初めて最大震度 7 が観測された。この地震により，多くの人的被害，財産被害 (家屋の倒壊や家財道具の損壊) および地盤の液状化が生じた。また，北海道全域に及ぶ大規模停電 (ブラックアウト) が起き，固定電話サービス，携帯電話サービスに支障が生じ，通信状況が混乱した。この地震により平常時の廃棄物量とは比べものにならない量の災害廃棄物の処理を行わなければならない中，限られた人員で対応しなければならない状況であった。本稿では，災害廃棄物の処理ならびにその後の被災自治体の災害等廃棄物処理事業費の申請等について述べる。
