Abstract

The 1H NMR spectra, with 11B noise decoupling, of B(C 2H 3) 3 and its Lewis acidbase adducts with NH 3, N(CH 3) 3 and P(CH 3) 3 are reported. The broadening of the vinyl regions of the coupled spectra arises predominantly as the result of isotropic J( 11B 1H) coupling and is not a manifestation of quadrupolar effects
