Abstract
The 13th International Oncolytic virus conference (IOVC#13) was held November 5–7, 2021, during the “false spring” between the Delta and Omicron phases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. IOVC#13 was organized as a hybrid meeting with approximately 90 attendees gathering in person surrounded by the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona and more than 240 attending virtually from around the world. We are grateful to the intrepid organizers, including the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (ASGCT) team led by David Barrett and Kah Whye Peng, with Stephen Russell as her first assistant (Mayo Clinic/Vyriad), who took on the challenge of putting together a seamless experience for in-person and virtual attendees.
