Abstract
For estimation of the production rate of the long-lived 14C isotope originating in the controlled thermonuclear synthesis 11B + p the total cross section of the 11B(α, p) 14C reaction has been determined in the energy range of α-particles E α = 0.9−1.7 MeV. Five resonances corresponding to states in 15N have been observed. The assignment of the resonance parameters is discussed.
