Abstract

A non-linear time dependent Fokker-Planck transport code is used to simulate neutral beam experiments, without the divertor, in the DITE Tokamak. Injection of H0 into both D+ and H+ plasmas is considered. The effects of both high and low Z impurities are modelled. The effect of beam impurity charge exchange on the radiative power loss is modelled. Transverse conductivities and diffusivities are found which best represent the experimental data both with and without injection, for six well documented experiments. Good overall agreement is obtained.
