Abstract

The infrared spectra of16O3have been recorded in the 3700 cm−1region, with a Fourier transform spectrometer at 0.008 cm−1resolution. A White-type cell,[formula]= 32.16 m, filled with 42.8 Torr O3was used. This spectral region corresponds to the ν2+ 3ν3and ν1+ ν2+ 2ν3bands. The ν2+ 3ν3band was observed and analyzed previously, but the interacting band ν1+ ν2+ 2ν3is observed for the first time. The assignments of this band cover the rangeJ= 58,Ka= 12; observations up toKa= 17 are available for ν2+ 3ν3. The two states (013) and (112) are satisfactorily treated as a dyad, with a standard deviation of 1.5 × 10−3cm−1for the 861 observed energy levels.
