Abstract

The influence of the Δ degree of freedom on the spin transverse nuclear response function is explored in the nucleonic sector of the quasi-elastic peak. For this purpose we utilize realistic, momentum-dependent nucleon-nucleon, nucleon-Δ and Δ− Δ interactions. The intertwining with 2p-2h excitations is also discussed.
