Abstract

The ℏ-expansion provides a powerful new tool, complementary to the WKB method, for deriving Regge trajectories and energy eigenvalues for bound states of central potentials in the Schrodinger equation framework. Based on the logarithmic perturbation theory in Planck's constant, simple recursion formulas are presented which facilitate calculation. Numerical calculations for specific potentials widely used in quarkonium physics illustrate the speed and accuracy of this technique.
