Abstract

Multiple sclerosis is a prevalent chronic inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system that affects mainly young adults. Patients with onset after the age of 50 years are defined as late-onset MS (LOMS), and the others with onset after 60 years are termed very late-onset MS (VLOMS). Due to the rarity, and variations in clinical presentation, coupled with the lack of clinical trials for disease-modifying therapies (DMTs), diagnosis and treatment are challenging in these groups. In our clinical case, we describe a patient diagnosed with VLOMS at the Neurology Department of Military Hospital 175.
