Abstract

The research aims to analyze the current status of entrepreneurship and propose policies and mechanisms to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Soc Trang province, Vietnam. The study utilizes a mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative research. The results indicate that the majority of startup businesses operate in agriculture, food processing, and wholesale/retail sectors, with low revenue and lack of experience. The biggest barrier is the lack of capital, requiring strong support from local organizations and the government. Therefore, the article also proposes solutions to enhance entrepreneurial activities and economic development in this province.
