Abstract

The article discusses a study which show that more eating of junk food can destroy the brain's satiety-control mechanism. It offer views of Michael Lowe, a clinical psychologist, on "shifting the focus to pleasure" as a new approach to understanding hunger and weight gain. It informs that ghrelin hormone is released from the stomach when it is empty and blood glucose levels are low, that stimulating hunger.
