Abstract
Elevated strain actuation is possible to be gained from crystallographically textured ceramics. Single crystal piezoelectrics prove elevated strain since orientated crystals are accurately controlled. Single crystals present more efficiently than normal ceramics, however, they are costly. Elevated textured ceramics proposes a substitute route to certainly coherent crystals. In textured ceramics, crystals are crystallographically oriented. Textured ceramics are predicted to show enhanced properties, with less processing expenses. In the following sections, for the purpose of yield high-quality textured ceramics, the template grain growth process is reviewed. Although this work about ceramics, it is evident such a process is promising to apply in metals too.
