Abstract

Taking into account the latest neutrino oscillation data, we study texture zeros of the lepton mass matrices. Assuming the Dirac neutrino mass matrix \(\mathrm M_{\nu D}\), the charged lepton mass matrix \(\mathrm M_{l}\) and mass matrix of heavy right handed Majorana neutrino mass matrix \(\mathrm M_{R}\), all to have texture three zeros. We observe that the neutrino mixing angles are well within the limits specified by the current experimental data when texture three zero is imposed on \(\mathrm M_{R}\) as compared to diagonal case \(\mathrm M_{R}\) =\(\mathrm m_{R}\)I for normal hierarchy of the mass matrices.
