Abstract
Textual and Interpretive Notes on the Epic Poems of Maffeo Vegio Seven textual problems are discussed in the epic poems of Maffeo Vegio: Supplementum Aeneidos (1428), Vellus aureum (1431), Astyanax (1430), Antoniad (1437). In each case, arguments are made for accepting new emendations or previously rejected variants. Due consideration is given to Vegio’s careful use of various Classical models (Virgil, Ovid, Seneca, and Statius).
