Abstract

Through an analysis of President Bush's pre- and post-crisis rhetoric, we demonstrate the process of computerized content analysis, and outline many of its strengths and limitations. This illustrative example is designed to foster future research that utilizes this methodology to explore contextual and symbolic elements of the leadership relationship.
