Abstract

Introduction: Quality in liver transplantation (LT) is measured using 1-year patient and graft survival. Because patient and graft survival now exceed 90%, more informative metrics are needed. Textbook outcomes (TOs) describe ideal patient outcomes following surgery. The aims of this study were to define TO following LT, asses the relationship between TO and long-term survival, and apply TO as a center-level metric.
