Abstract
The prescription of the texts has been a topic of discussion in English instruction. There have also been issues with textual referencing with the introduction of the global viewpoint. This fundamental discussion makes it necessary to reconsider the discipline's goals. Insecurities regarding a modern English curriculum and a response to changes in text meaning have led to the relevance debate. The study focuses on various topics, including what should be read, possible reading strategies, potential linkages, and potential benefits. Our ideas of the English language have been challenged and expanded by multiculturalism to encompass variously spoken and written English.
