Texas judge halts investigations targeting gender‐affirming care

Abstract

A Texas state judge on March 11 issued an injunction blocking state investigations into youth health services for gender transitioning, probes that were launched after the state attorney general suggested that some of these procedures constitute child abuse. The state's recent actions had sent shock waves across a mental health provider community that considers gender‐affirming health services to be lifesaving care (see MHW, March 7).
