Abstract

TEX-2 is a four-circle diffractometer which is mainly used to analyse textures of different types of materials. A variability in scanning routines and in the beam collimation allows to optimize the measurement for highly symmetric metals and alloys as well as for low-symmetric superconductors and rock samples. Data evaluation will be carried out calculating the orientation distribution function by the iterative-series expansion method, the WIMV method or the component fit method. Additional equipment is available for defined sample environments (high temperature, tensile and compression load).
