Abstract

In order to wide the assortment of fodder plants, we have been making investigations of Tetragonolobus purpureus Moench of the Fabaceae family. T. purpureus is a highly qualitative fodder plant used as a one-year corn-bean crop, very promising for geographical areas with warm and mild climates and with a long summer season. Studies on the influence of climatic and agronomical factors affecting crop yield and seed quality are necessary for the elaboration of agrotechnics of this novel crop species. An in vitro approach for the production of callus cultures from seedlings explants has been developed for this species.
