Abstract

The title compound, [Cu2(C2H3O2)4(C12H11NS)2], is a centrosymmetric dimer. The Cu centre presents a CuO4N square-pyramidal geometry arising from four syn–syn bridging acetate anions and a 2-(phenyl­sulfanylmeth­yl)pyridine ligand N-coordinated in the apical position. The Cu⋯Cu separation is 2.6309 (6) A.
