Abstract

This study focuses on the dynamics of the tethered towing of the space debris. The motion of the system is reached in the force-free field and central gravitational field. A mathematical model is constructed. The space tug is modeled as a material point, the space debris as a solid body. The elastic tether connects objects to each other. In this study, we assumed that the anchor point of the tether to the space debris can be chosen arbitrarily. The aim of the work is to study the influence of the choice of the tether engagement point on the dynamics of the tug - space debris system.
