Abstract

While I am not engaged in the special work of a surgeon, I have, on account of the various interesting features presented, often been tempted to place on record a certain case of tetanus treated a number of years ago. In view of the fact that the annual visitation of this disease has been brought on through the Fourth of July celebrations, and since the subject of the pathology as well as the treatment has assumed considerable prominence, and asThe Journalof the American Medical Association, June 18, 1904, page 1625, requests reports of cases of tetanus, I herewith comply with that request.
