Abstract
This paper presents the results of tests of the resistance of fasteners to pull-out from the top face skin of a roofing sandwich panel. The full-scale tests were carried out in the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology Civil Engineering Faculty Laboratory. During the tests the pulling out force and the displacements of the substrate near the screw hole were recorded. On the basis of the test results the current knowledge on determining the strength limit of such connections was verified. Moreover, a theoretical discussion of the investigated problem was carried out. The paper ends with conclusions which can serve as advice for designers and contractors using the discussed fastening solution.
