Abstract

We test the correlation between variability and peak luminosity in GRBs, using two different definitions of variability, and a homogeneous sample composed of all long Swift/BAT-detected GRBs (40 events). We find that, if a rigorous approach in assessing the background and noise statistics is followed, the correlation is no longer present.
