Abstract

The intrinsic parameters β1 and γ1 weredetermined separately for the first time by explicitmeasurement of the angular distribution of the transferred spinpolarization of Xe N4O2,3O2,3 3P1 Auger electronsafter primary excitation with circularly polarized light fromthe BESSY-II helical undulator UE56/1. The feasibility of acomplete experiment for the Auger decay, i.e. extraction ofCoulomb matrix elements from the experimental data, isdiscussed and reveals a new fundamental equation connecting theintrinsic parameters of Auger decay. An analysis procedure isperformed, yielding a well confined solution space foramplitude ratios and phase shift differences.
