Abstract
Just as this issue of the journal went to press, the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) published not one but two clinical guidelines relating to coronary heart disease. One deals with the diagnosis of chest pain of recent onset (NICE, 2010a), while the other deals with the early management of unstable angina and non-STsegment-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) (NICE, 2010b).
