Abstract
The beam splitter is an optical analog for spin and angular momentum. Using SU(2) group operator methods, we demonstrate how the unitary class of Robertson intelligent spin states can be generated and tested for generalized minimum uncertainty by photomixing of photon pairs from parametric down-conversion.
