Abstract

We investigate possible Bjorken scaling violations due to new quark production and non-exact quark freedom, in neutrino charged current experiments. Heavy quark mass effects are taken into account. We compare various weak current quark models with HPWF collaboration data. Present results on ν high y anomaly are better explained if we assume b quark production via right-handed currents (with 5 GeV ≤ 7 GeV), but more precise tests must be done in order to be definite. Neutrino results give severe constraints on other right-handed currents (( d c ) R is ruled out, the existence of ( d t ) R implies m t ≳ 3 GeV). Concerning same-sign dimuon events we discuss a natural mechanism which takes place in the vector-like model. Whatever quark model we consider, present data show evidence for scaling violations due to non-exact quark freedom.
