Testing MaexPro aerosol model using observations in near-surface layer of the coastal atmosphere

Abstract

In this work, we verified how MaexPro model calculations correspond to the observations of aerosol extinction in the near-surface layer of the coastal atmosphere. It is shown that the particle size distribution functions and spectral aerosol extinction coefficients, calculated using the model with the input parameters corresponding most closely to the conditions of experiment, agree well with observations and calculations using MODTRAN code.
