Introduction

Testicular neoplasms are common in dogs, and their incidence is higher in older animals, and in cases of cryptorchidism. O tumor das células de sertoli (sertolioma) e das células intersticiais endócrinas (tumor de Leydig), considerados como neoplasmas do estroma gonadal e dos cordões sexuais, além do seminoma, derivado das células germinativas, são os neoplasmas testiculares primários mais frequentes em cães. Considerando o total de neoplasmas testiculares, os mais prevalentes foram o tumor de células intersticiais de Leydig, com 50,8% (211/415), seguido do seminoma, com 35,2% dos casos (146/415) e o sertolioma, representando 14% (58/415).
